Green Star Products has pioneered the introduction of a new series of surfactants based on polymerized alkyl polyglucoside. The Poly Suga®Nate Series are sulfonated surfactants based on the renewable resource of alkyl polyglucosides. The Poly Suga®Nate products are extremely mild when tested against other traditional primary personal care cleansing surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium coco sulfate, sodium lauryl ether sulfate and alpha ole fin sulfonate.

The development of Poly Suga®Nate products now allows the formulator to have a powerful tool in the development of gentle cleansing, low irritation shampoos, body washes, shower gels and other personal cleansing formulations.

Suga®Quat Series of naturally derived conditioning quats, bring formulators new ingredients that for the first time provide excellent conditioning of hair and skin while being much milder than traditional quats. The new Suga®Quat Series offer the formulator naturally derived ingredients from renewable resources that are low in irritation to eyes and skin.

The Suga®Quat Series are also very substantive, providing both wet comb properties and fly-away control to hair while being non-greasy and not building up. Green Star Products has done a variety of conditioning tests and Rubine Dye tests to verify the performance of Suga®Quats in personal care formulations. Suga®Quats are substantive to hair and skin even in the presence of anionic surfactants.

Green Star Products has pioneered a new series of products based upon alkyl polyglucoside. The Colonial Suga®Phos series of products represent the first new technology in the manufacture of Gemini surfactants in years. These new Suga®Phos based Gemini products offer formulating advantages over traditional mono-alkyl phosphate products. The Suga®Phos materials are derived from alkyl polyglucosides which are renewable resources. These starting materials form biodegradable, mild surfactants that function in extreme conditions for personal care applications. Green Star Products has pioneered the introduction of a new series of "green" surfactants based on alkyl polyglucoside derivatives. The Colonial Suga®Nate Series are sulfonated surfactants based on the renewable resource of alkyl polyglucosides. The goal to make an extremely mild surfactant, which would be a substitute for traditional primary surfactants in personal care formulations, was realized in the development of the Suga®Nate Series.

The Suga®Nate products are extremely mild when tested against other traditional primary personal cleansing surfactants such as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium coco sulfate, sodium lauryl ether sulfate and alpha ole fin sulfonate. The development of the Suga®Nate products represents a break-through in formulation technology. In the past a formulator started with irritating materials and built the formulation to mitigate irritation. Suga®Nate products allow a formulator to start formulating with non-irritating, "green" products and build consumer desired aesthetic  properties knowing irritation to eyes and skin will not be a problem.

The Poly Suga®Quat Series of products are unique and innovative new products for the personal care industry. These products are made from renewable resources, are excellent conditioners for hair and skin and are very mild. In addition, the Poly Suga®Quat products are natural and "green". The Poly Suga®Quat Series is derived from polymerized alkyl polyglucosides.

The polymeric APG backbone is derivatized to provide cationic conditioning properties. This process yields products that are naturally derived, and cationic in character. These novel quats provide substantivity to skin and hair, much more so than their nonionic APG precursors. The sugar moiety decreases the irritation substantially over traditional quats allowing the formulator an expanded use of these natural, "green" materials in a variety of personal care formulations. The Poly Suga®Quat Series provides longer lasting benefits to hair and skin products than can be achieved using conventional surfactant systems while reducing irritation over traditional quats.

The Colonial Poly Suga®Phos Series of products are anionic surfactants based on a Polymeric-APG structure and represent some of our newest technology in the manufacture of Gemini surfactants. The Poly Suga®Phos materials are derived from alkyl polyglucosides which are natural, renewable resources. These starting materials form biodegradable, mild surfactants that function in all types of conditions for personal care applications.

The combination of dimethicone and the alkyl polyglucoside allow for products that provide excellent feel and conditioning.

Poly Suga®Sil products also provide foaming and slip while actually lowering the irritation of formulations. The excellent toxicological properties of Poly Suga®Sil products as well as their ability to mitigate irritation in harsh formulations make them a natural choice for many personal care formulations. Green Star Products has developed two products with widely different molecular weights allowing the formulator to select a product or blend of products to meet individual formulation needs. *Cola®Quat PDQ - vegetable derived quaternary polymer*

Cola®Quat PDQ is a high molecular weight polyquat based on naturally derived dilinoleic acid from a natural source of safflower oil. This unique molecule has no detrimental effect on viscosity when used with sulfates in shampoos and body washes. Cola®Quat PDQ has the featured benefit of conditioning due to the presence of twin linoleyl groups. Cola®Quat PDQ is a high active liquid that is free of monomers and is high molecular weight.

The molecule is hydrophilic and does not build up, yet because of its cationic nature it is substantive. Cola ®Quat PDQ is a very safe polymeric conditioner. The product has been thoroughly tested by outside testing labs and found to have no potential for skin irritation and no potential for eye irritation, scoring a 1.5 on the HET CAM Eye test.
